Jennifer Malone, CFP®, CMFC

LPL Financial Advisor, Partner

“Jen” has been a financial advisor since 2007. She is the lead planner at BMG Advisors, and her #1 passion is spending time with BMG clients. Before becoming a financial advisor, Jen spent three years teaching high school and middle school math after receiving her Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from Rockhurst University in 2002.

Upon branching out on their own, Jen and her business partner thought hard about how they could do business differently with three main pillars in mind: Taking care of clients, taking care of their employees, and doing good in the community. With those non-negotiables in mind, BMG was born as a salary-only advisor model with no asset minimums. Since the launch in 2008, they have more than doubled their assets under management and employee head count.

As a CFP® practitioner who received her certification from the Boston Institute of Finance in 2014, Jen is a firm believer in the quality and integrity of holding this designation. She also holds certification as a Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor from the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado.

As an LPL Financial Advisor, Jennifer’s goal is to help clients, as they say at BMG, “Plan Their Story.” She assists clients by helping to analyze their progress towards their personal financial planning and investment planning goals, no matter what chapter of life they’re in. She works on a daily basis to develop, strengthen, and maintain meaningful relationships with clients so she can effectively assist them along the way.

Jennifer’s volunteer resume has included roles such as: Chairwoman of the Liberty Chamber of Commerce, Ways and Means Chair and President of the Soroptimist International of Liberty Club, Director of Sports Ministry for Holy Cross Catholic School, and a current board member of the FPA of Greater Kansas City. She is also a 2021 graduate of the KC Chamber’s Centurion Leadership Program; one of KC's most prominent groups of rising leaders. Jen’s business also won the distinguished New Business of the Year Award in 2020 with the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. As a mother of three children, Jennifer is actively involved in her children’s activities and volunteers as a Girl Scout leader. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and attending music and sporting events with her husband, Bob.
